This is a fiddle:
The main block is screwed into from below to attach to a piece of 2mm styrene. This effectively deepens the slot for stability and allows the whole to be held by the bolt that holds the moving disc below.
The M4 bolt looks like overkill, but its cap head fits nicely into the kit steering wheel.
